I can’t tell you how impressed I am with this company! I called House Painting Inc. after searching online for a good house painting contractor, but I must admit I had low expectations. As a homeowner, I’ve been ripped off by various “contractors” over the years and I was leery. James came out the next day to inspect my property and I immediately liked his manner and professionalism. The following day I had an estimate in my email box. After accepting the estimate, work began the following week. The workers were on time every day and worked hard! This is a legitimate company that allows their workers a real lunch break and they leave on time after cleaning up. The care they take to protect walkways, plants, windows etc. is incredible. They replaced rotted wood around my windows and repaired and patched cracked stucco before power washing the house. Then they primed and painted. The whole process took 5 days. I am so pleased with their service! I’ve told my neighbors and several of them have now hired House Painting Inc. as their painting contrator. They are all very happy customers just like me!

Paint job was exceptional. Included main two story residence, detached garage, side picket fence, and rear yard retaining wall. The work was performed by Abraham and his assistant. I was very satisfied with their work and focus to detail. I also had Abraham hang some window shutters. Did great job. Additionally he was able to help me secure multiple window casements with eye hooks because they didn’t close properly. Required sanding and smoothing, due to warping from years of wear from outside exposure. Abraham is a true gentlemen. Did a wonderful job. Windows now close perfectly. Every request I made for extra attention to project was met with complete compliance. I wouldn’t hesitate to using House Painting Inc. again.

Exterior painting of large home with several sets of wooden French doors and lots of trim! Our crew was led by Andrew and they did an excellent job. Patching and sanding and replacing a few rotting boards. The paint color we wanted was color-matched by Dunn Edwards on the second try. Andrew put samples on several areas of the house so we could see it in different lighting situations. The quality of the work was exceptional – I can’t imagine anyone being able to do a better job. Great attention to the smallest detail. We were assured that our home would look as good as new, and it does. They showed up on time every day and left the area clean and the yard gate shut.

My estimate went so well and the price was fabulous. It took me a little time to save up but once I was ready we were scheduled to have the job started about a week and a half later. Painters showed up and we’re very polite and pleasant, explained the process and got to work. They even took down some old satellite dishes for me and did great patch work on some tough spots. They offered to paint the front door if I chose a color and he was so sweet he wanted it to be perfect and said it could take an insane amount of coats I told him not to do more then a certain number bc it wasn’t worth it to me for him to put in that much effort. I was so appreciative of his care and consideration. They worked so hard and started on Monday and we’re done by lunch time Thursday! I couldn’t be more pleased and already have given his info out to 3 people.

House Painting Inc. painted the entire exterior of my 2600 sq ft two story home. The job took 6 days evenly divided between surface preparation, and actual paint application. I was impressed by their careful masking and measures to protect landscape and other non-painted areas. There were no paint splatters anywhere and all of their work was clean and neatly done. They worked from 8:00am to 4:30pm daily like clockwork. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs their home painted.

Exterior house painting, including under eaves areas as well as exterior wall stucco patch. Mr. Lee and his crew at House Painting, Inc. were consummate professionals throughout the entire process. Our recently purchased house was in rough shape with portions of the wood trim peeling and stucco damage. Mr. Lee and the guys meticulously repaired the damage and now have the house looking great. As some have commented previously, quality prep work is key to the overall finish. The crew spent a solid two days prepping the site, and then did an excellent job with the primer and paint. The guys would also check in on our satisfaction as the job was going on, proving that customer service is a big priority for them. I have absolutely no hesitation in giving the “A’s” across the board and will use them in the future.

Did extremely thorough prep job. Painted stucco exterior and all trim. Painted all doors. Trenched next to house to paint this area. Addressed and abated mildew areas. All damaged stucco areas were patched. Applied waterproof sealer in damaged areas. After all repairs and patches were done and all areas wire brushed or otherwise cleaned up, the entire areas were power washed. House was then primed and then painted with two coats. The site manager, Abraham, explained everything that they did. He also asked when there was any decision to be made.

Painted house, trim, concrete walkway and small gates. Scraped peeling spray-on stucco and re-patched. This is long overdue, but I am going to add to the chorus of praise for James Lee House Painting.
My house has a crappy spray on stucco that had been peeling off for some time. It wasn’t in my budget to scrape it all off and re-stucco the entire building, so James came out and suggested that they could scrape off the peeling areas and try as best they could to match the texture. All for a very reasonable price. After his famous presentation of his license and letters from his happy customers, I was sold.
Our crew’s foreman was Andrew and he was just great. They came on time every morning, and cleaned up after themselves before they left. If it weren’t for the fact that they kept some of their ladders in the backyard over night you couldn’t have guessed that there was work going on.
I understood fully that patching the stucco was not ideal, and Andrew kept reiterating that he would try his best but no promises. His best was amazing. I was blown away how well they were able to seamlessly match the texture. And from the looks of it the patches will likely last a very long time.
The new color on the house and trim came out amazing, too. We couldn’t be happier. This was by far and away the best experience I’ve ever had with a contractor. I seriously wish James would expand his business to other areas of home improvement! He has earned my business for life.

I was expecting the usual results: mediocre. Me: surprised. Over the course of 5-1/2 days, the 3-man crew sanded, patched, primed and painted the exterior of my house and garage in a highly professional and thorough manner. They arrived on time, left on time, and the house, after years of deferred maintenance, now looks great. I saw NO evidence of the usual slap dash. Painting is mostly prep, and it took them 3-1/2 days to bring these 1938 stucco structures into paintable condition. There ARE pros out there, and I would use these pros again. Owner Mr. James Lee supplied the bid; in the initial estimate walkaround he was honest and straightforward, and told me exactly where my assumptions about waterproofing my chimney were wrong, and later returned my many calls promptly… almost immediately in fact. His office staff called weekly for a month to politely check up my acceptance of the estimate. When I finally called to set up the job I was rather shocked that it got scheduled for the following Monday! His painters were led by Andrew who is something of a curmudgeon… in the very best way: a man who knows exactly what the best approach is and who gets a little impatient when I intervened with the occasional suggestion. THAT is exactly the kind of painter/contractor I want working on my house… one who knows his stuff and requires only that you stay out of his way. This might sound like he was a jerk, but he isn’t… he’s a pro who takes ownership of a job. That is refreshing, to say the least. Andrew was very helpful in suggesting and supplying the best stain for exposed rafter tails, woodwork and rafters over my porch… he was totally right. (Dunn Edwards doesn’t make solid stain, I learned, but the best stuff comes from none other than Behr.) This review sounds a little phony to me, probably because my reviews are always honest but never this glowing. Not used to it. Seriously, this was a great experience, especially considering House Painting Inc supplied the lowest of 3 bids. Really nice job… I think my Dutch grandfather, a painter/craftsman all his life, would approve.

They did an outstanding job! We were quoted by another company for the same exact job for $9,000. The crew was so thorough. I don’t think the trim had ever been painted correctly. They took the time to sand, scrape and make repairs before they even painted. They were on time, provided us with references and a copy of their insurance. We had an estimate appointment first so he knew exactly what needed to be done and the quote was provided within the week if not a couple of days.

Painted the exterior of our house; hung vinyl shutters that replaced our wood shutters. We chose to go with Mr. Lee’s company because we believed the work would be well done and that the experience would be good. We had this impression based on our interactions with Mr. Lee, by the reviews on Angie’s List, and from conversations with his references. Song and Victor were the painters who worked on our house. They were polite and prompt. The outside area was left in good shape at the end of each day. We did not include a stucco wall in our request but they painted it at no extra cost. The quality of their work was excellent. One of the shutters was hung upside down. We noticed a small issue after the job was done, on a Saturday. We called that day and Song returned that afternoon to make the correction. Overall, my wife and I are very, very happy with this company’s work. This was one of the best experiences we have had with a contractor. We highly recommend this company.

Painted the inside of our entire home. We just got a new home in Pacific Palisades and before we moved in we wanted to make sure that everything was to our liking. We called House Painting Inc having heard from them from friends and thought that these guys should provide us with excellent service. Luckily they did great they painted the entire inside of our new home at a fairly reasonable price. After a few days of work the guys were done and we loved how it all turned out great job by these guys now the house looks excellent.
